God created male and female

What God has said matters. He says that no one should desecrate His art: male and female.

Matthew 19:4-6

4And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE, 5and said, ‘FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH’? 6“So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

Mark 10:5-9

5But Jesus said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. 6“But from the beginning of creation, God MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE. 7“FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, 8AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH; so they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9“What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

Romans 1:23-27

23and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. 24Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

Deuteronomy 22:5

“A woman shall not wear man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.”

Leviticus 18:22

‘You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.’

Leviticus 20:13

‘If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.’

Do not be deceived

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

9Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

The law is for lawbreakers

1 Timothy 1:8-11

8But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

What is the threat?

The promotion of it

The idea of homosexuality is now in the proverbial store. One in ten teens now claims to have a gay identity.

The personal impact of it

All aspects of life are deeply affected and threatened: security, social status, intimate relationships, and so forth.

“No-fault” divorce is an abomination. Marriage isn’t valued anymore. Civil rights are for fitting in, not for being different.

The demand to restructure society

Marriage is between a man and a woman. The term marriage being used when referring to a homosexual or lesbian union is a threat. Marriage is a covenant established by God. Marriage did not originate with man. Man does not get to redefine what God has established. A homosexual union is not a marriage, even though it may be recognized from a court/civil point of view. It is not a marriage and they are not married in God’s sight. A man and a man are not a couple. A woman and a woman are not a couple. Man does not get to define what love is. God has defined love. This is a classic manifestation of man trying to be like God and deciding what is best for themselves.

The slippery slope

The destruction of lives cannot be underestimated. A survey was taken of 6,700 homosexual obituaries. The survey results are shocking. The median life span of the 6,700 obituaries was 39 years. The median life span of married heterosexual men is 69 years.

When people in a society think they are entitled to leave God out and decide what is best for them regardless of how selfish they are, what do they think the end will be?

Nobody wants to be called a homophobe

In American society it is very easy to go with the flow and it is extremely difficult and costly to go against the flow. It is easier to believe personal choice does not affect society than it is to recognize that destruction is the sure end of an all-consuming selfishness. Families want to find a way to heal. And there are many people who call themselves believers who are not sold out to God no matter what the cost.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

1But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

Being wrapped up in me is cheap and futile and full of destruction.

No procreation or passing on of good things. Dishonoring parents. Brings confusion.

Don’t let so-called turn-ons define who you are

1 Corinthians 7:17

Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk. And so I direct in all the churches.

Practicing obviously ungodly things things is what the ungodly do. And we believers used to practice the same things. Notice I said used to.

Love is the issue.

When we genuinely come to Christ and walk according to the Word, which means receiving the Word, repenting, returning to God, and walking in obedience to His commands found in the Word, our ways become changed because God through His Word and by the power of the Holy Spirit changes us.

God offers you and me the way of love. Lay down your threats.

John 8:7

But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”

You must be willing to give it all up to go up. Are you listening to this? Really listening to this? Is whatever is going on more important than Jesus?

Matthew 13:43-50

43“Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. 44“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. 45“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, 46and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it. 47“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and gathering fish of every kind; 48and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away. 49“So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, 50and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

When I defend someone who is not willing to lay it all down for Christ, that means that I have not laid it all down for Christ.

Walking in love

Believers in Jesus Christ can love while not condoning what God clearly says is an abomination.

How do we communicate love? Biblical love finds a way to fit in according to God’s Word, not to cause pain and separation.
